At the initiative of the Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education, ASPU hosted representatives of Territorial Pedagogical-psychological Support Centers and Psychopedagogical Support Centers.
The sides discussed organization and process of internships, trying to reveal the existing problems and propose possible solutions.
Vera Marukyan, who is in charge of organizing internships of the Faculty, emphasized the role of the Territorial Pedagogical-psychological Support Centers not only for their support, but also for familiarizing students with the assessment process, stressing that it will further facilitate their activity in the structure.
Dean Gohar Hovyan says proper organization of internships solves the problem of student employment as it helps train qualified specialists. She stresses that today it is difficult to find a job in the field without relevant experience. In that context, she emphasized the role and support of the Territorial Pedagogical-psychological Support Centers, as well as joint work and cooperation with the methodologists.
Gohar Hovyan emphasized the importance of planning work properly and stressed that students should know the functions of the Territorial Pedagogical-psychological Support Centers, ranging from the assessment tool to the various forms of documentation.
Professor Hovyan added that the changes in the legislative field within the framework of educational reforms also imply review of internship programs. Then she reminded that today's students are tomorrow's teachers.
Her speech was followed by an active discussion, with the participants making suggestions for organizing the process more effectively.
