Days of Russian Speech got underway in Armenia for the ninth time. A number of events, including training of Russian Language teachers, seminars and workshops, and open classes are planned within the framework of the event to be held from 12 to 16 December.
Srbuhi Gevorgyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, wished the participants fruitful work, assuring everyone that the Pedagogical University has a special attitude towards languages, especially the Russian language which is demonstrated through various events and conferences which are regularly organized by the University. “Russian is the language with the help of which we can show joint approaches [on sociological, pedagogical and other scientific platforms] to solve different problems,” she said.
Director of the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Yerevan, Mark Kalinin, presented the events organized in collaboration with ASPU in the current year: he was happy to add that those events are attended by current and future educators. Mr. Kalinin thinks that such events which also feature representatives of different schools, universities and organizations, are a good platform to exchange views and experience.

The event was organized by the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Yerevan, Russian Embassy in Armenia, Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia, Armenian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature and Coordinating Council of the Organization of Russian compatriots in Armenia.
