From 7-9 May, the Head of the ASPU Department of International Cooperation Christina Tsaturyan and the Head of the Department of Education Reforms and Quality Assurance Mkrtich Avagyan visited the University of Oulu in Finland within the scope of ERASMUS+ international credit mobility programme.
The business trip was quite busy, consisting of discussions with representatives of various divisions and services about development of educational programmes and portfolio, quality assurance, students’ feedback system, recognizing foregoing education, digi-campus project (digitalization), university library, electronic databases, internationalisation and strategic cooperation, students exchange and services for foreign students.
In her interview to the old.aspu.am the Head of Department of International Cooperation Christina Tsaturyan mentioned that the University’s management re-confirmed their desire to cooperate with the Pedagogical University as well as the possibility to organize a summer school the following year.
Likewise, she added that during the given visit new arrangements had been made in regards with developing and introducing joint MA programmes /double degree programme/, supervising MA theses, conducting research activities and publishing articles in highly prestigious journals.
In the near future, the “Research Methods” course, developed by the academic staff of the University of Oulu in Finland, will be available for the ASPU lecturers and students on the Google classroom platform.
And last but not least, the head of the Department of International Cooperation informed that the results of the ERASMUS+ international credit mobility programme had already been announced and in the coming two years 6 students were going to receive funding to study at the University of Oulu in Finland for six months.
