Working meetings continue within the framework the framework of a program of the Center for Excellence in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU).
The program is aimed at developing the skills and abilities of current and future teachers, and preparing specialists by providing them with innovative, practical and research skills and capabilities.
As the 24-month project nears its end, the working group led by the project manager, ASPU Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation Marianna Harutyunyan continues meetings to summarize the work completed.

Eight auditoriums have already been repaired and technically equipped within the framework of the project. Also, necessary equipment has been purchased for the laboratories of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Technology, Geography and IT. The Center for Excellence has the necessary items, laboratory equipment and computer equipment in line with challenges in the modern education system.
Seminars and courses, including 2 courses on integration and adaptation of climate changes; the group discussed the work done until now and details about the workshop "STEM Education as a Builder of the Future" which is scheduled for June.
Marianna Harutyunyan said that teachers and students from different schools across the country will participate in the closing meeting at the end of the program to get acquainted with practical classes and professional training courses held in the laboratories and centers of the structure.
Let us add that under the program, the University’s educational programs have been revised and synchronized with school curricula. Also, as a result of cooperation with a professional and experienced group, the laboratories have been equipped with the necessary didactic materials, Armenian-language posters, and all possible conditions have been created for the laboratories to be more flexible, to serve schoolchildren and and training participants.
The working group also discussed the results of the visit to the University of Valladolid in Spain, stressing that the experience gained will help to further improve and develop the content of the educational part of the ASPU Center of Excellence especially regarding the STEM subjects and training modules. Let us add that educational programs in six directions have already been revised and updated.
