An embroidered arts exhibition opened in the exhibition hall of the Faculty of Art Education on December 22.
The exhibition showcases the works by students specializing in decorative and applied art and fashion design, made during internships. The handcrafted items of embroidery masters Maral Sheohmelian, Aida Santuryan, Tsovak Gantarjian and Iskuhi Sargsyan are exhibited next to the students’ works.
Welcoming the participants of the exhibition, Dean of the Faculty of Art Education Ara Hakobyan thanked them for the impressive needlework exhibits. Ani Yeghiazaryan, Director of the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum and the participating students also stressed the importance of the exhibition which gives an opportunity to get familiar with Armenian embroidery and preserve its traditions.
Let us add that the exhibition was organized within the framework of cooperation between the Hovhannes Tumanyan Museum, President of "Zard" cultural NGO Yevgenia Ohanyan, and the Faculty of Art Education.
