KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

By the initiative of the lecturers of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Chair of Germanic Languages Sona Tumanyan and Zhanna Ayvazyan an event dedicated to mothers was held at the hall of Faculty of Culture.

The students and the ASPU Base (High-School) College pupils expressed their acknowledgements by poems and songs in foreign languages to mothers who gave birth to heroes for Armenian nation as if to prove to the audience a simple truth – it is worth to be born in this world only to have a mother.

In addition, the students made a performance presenting a part from Christopher Morley’s “Thursday Evening” therewith once again emphasizing the meaning to true human relations.

In the opinion of the organizers of the event the event for the students was an experience of overcoming the language barrier, and the participation of the APSU Base College was an experience of strengthening university-school cooperation.

Among those present at the event were the teaching professorial team of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the students, pupils and guests.
