Event with the participation of ASPU Primary School pupils

Tongue twisters, epics (eposes), games, proverbs, sayings, riddles and other samples of popular folklore were presented by 2nd form pupils of the ASPU primary school.

The aim of the event was to present through performances and songs the children’s knowledge of Mother Tongue and Music subjects. During the event entitled “Our people are wise” the pupils also presented examples of folk wisdom, stressing that thanks to that wisdom people were able to pass their knowledge and experience from one generation to the other and realize that language is the basis of the nation's preservation. The children promised to follow and be guided by these messages which were passed on from generation to generation.

Class teacher Karine Chibukhchyan is proud that the pupils were able to overcome the difficulties and convey their message to the audience. The event was unique in the sense that it not only strengthened the interdisciplinary tie, but also was an opportunity to interpret disagreements and opinions on textbooks.

“Throughout the year, the pupils learned the folklore examples and folksongs with great love and pleasure, they were able to feel and understand the centuries-old life experience that passed down through generations,” she said advising everyone to use them in their speech since they make the speech convincing and influential.

School Principal Naira Toghanyan thanked Karine Chibukhchyan, the pupils and parents and said that she didn’t even notice how quickly those one and a half hours passed.

“Just to say that I am excited means to say nothing. One should be vigilant and armed with knowledge when dealing with these children. Our future is in safe hands,” she said. On behalf of Heghine Khachatryan, Dean of the Faculty of Primary Faculty, she handed the pupils the “Friend of the Faculty of Primary Education” certificate.

The event was attended by the authors of the textbooks. Vachagan Sargsyan confessed that he had attended numerous events, but this one was unique. He thanked Karine Chibukhchyan and the pupils who were able to turn the textbook material into an interesting event.

At the end of the event, the pupils staged Vachagan Sargsyan’s “Three Girls” fairy tale, at the end of which three apples fell from heaven: one for the storyteller, one for the listener, and one for the eavesdropper.
