Exhibition commemorating Armenians Killed in 2020 Artsakh War opens at ASPU

September 27, 2022, marks the second anniversary of the beginning of the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). Today, the Faculty of Art Education of ASPU organized an exhibition to commemorate the victims of the war, including the fallen students of the University.

The exhibition was symbolic: 27 works of 27 artist pedagogues of the Faculty were put on display showing the viewers the diversity in genres and rich colour palette.

The exhibition was attended by the ASPU Rector, professors and students, as well as art lovers.

"Art is a unique form to express spiritual condition and emotions; it is possible to convey both joy and sadness through art. All those who died in the war should be commemorated by organizing various events," Ara Hakobyan, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, said in a conversation with old.aspu.am.

At the end of the exhibition, the ASPU representatives walked around the exhibition halls of the Faculty, once again getting acquainted with the works of famous artists who have worked at the University in different years.
