An exhibition entitled "Spring Essay for Mothers and Daughters" opened at Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) on March 12.
The exhibition features 34 paintings by Lems Nersisyan, a professor of ASPU, Honored Art Worker of the Republic of Armenia.
The ceremony was attended by the ASPU rector, lecturers and students, as well as the artist’s fans.
ASPU Rector Srbuhi Gevorgyan congratulated the female attendees on the occasion of spring holidays and wished that the moods and inner harmony prevailing in the hall continue for 365 days.
Field flowers, a beautiful urban still life, a rural environment with a floral aroma and the like… Professor Gevorgyan believes many attendees have managed to ‘step into’ Lems Nersisyan's spring world, feel the realm of beauty, dreams and carefree life that should be shared and spread. “We feel a lack of joy, a sincere smile. I think that the paintings created by our talented artist pedagogue and the depicted world will make you smile and appreciate the beauty [in life]," the ASPU rector said in her opening remarks.
Professor Lems Nersisyan says that the exhibition is sincere, there is no coercion. He has presented his favouite season of the year which is very emotional.
The painter says there is literature, music and geography in his works. He believes that with the purple colour characteristic of the weather he has managed to convey the spring mood and aroma in the paintings to art lovers.
Tigran Petorsyants, Director of the ASPU Library, had an opportunity to study the paintings before the opening of the exhibition and experience spring breath of the exhibition, which, he thinks, should fill our inner world and become the best gift for women.
Alvard Grigoryan, Director of the ASPU History Museum, added that flower-themed exhibitions which have already become a good tradition, help beautify human life.
