At the end of the academic year, the ASPU creative departments perform graduate reporting concerts.
Today, the graduate concert of the Chair of Music, Faculty of Culture, was organized, dedicated to the May Victories.
The Brass Band, the National Instruments Orchestra, the Jazz Band, ensembles of qanun players, duduk players, clarinet players, dhol [drum] player, and individual performers of the Chair presented during the concert.
Famous works of Armenian and foreign composers were played by the students of first to fourth years.
“This is the students’ first live communication with a real audience, as well as their first concert on a professional stage”, mentioned the Head of the Chair of Music Mr. Ara Gevorgyan in his interview to the old.aspu.am and added that such concerts, which had already become traditional, contributed to the dissemination of national music.
To conclude, Mr. Ara Gevorgyan also noted that during the current year the students had also performed in various formats in regions, where they presented our national and brass instruments, and that the orchestras had also performed in wide-scope state events.
