Claude Delaville, a MA student from the French city of Lille, is taking an internship at Armenian State Pedagogical University within the framework of cooperation between the ASPU and La Communauté d'universités et d'établissements Lille Nord de France.
Within the framework of his one-month internship, the French student has taught 1st, 2nd and 4th year students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages specializing in French Language and Literature.
During the first week of her visit, Claude Delaville got acquainted with the activities of the leading teacher training university [in Armenia] and frankly expressed his surprise and delight. “It is a great achievement that in this small country you have such a university which does not only yield to leading European universities, but even leaves them behind in terms of quality of language teaching,” the French student said in conversation with old.aspu.am.
Donara Ghazaryan, Head of the Chair of Romance Languages, underlined the effectiveness of the introduction of such practices which are aimed at improving the quality of foreign language teaching. “During the internship, our students were given an opportunity to improve their French through classroom and extracurricular activities. Introduction of similar examples of student mobility contributes to the dissemination of French language and Francophone values in the world. This approach will allow developing new teaching quality in accordance with modern requirements of the labour market,” she said.
