KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Today, the initial session of the Board of Trustees was held at the Pedagogical University with the participation of the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan , the NA Vice-President Eduard Sharmazanov, Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan, the RA Deputy Prime-Minister Vache Gabrielyan ,the NA Deputy Anahit Bakhshyan, the Head of Department of Education of the Yerevan Municipality Gayanei Soghomonyan, and other members of the ASPU Board.

The Board session was conducted by the RA Minister of ES Levon Mkrtchyan, who expressed assurance that in the new working phase Pedagogical University’s success and achievements would be on continuous basis.
Likewise, the Minister noticed that the best experience of the University must be accomplished and applied in other pedagogical universities of the country.

The first issue on the agenda was the selection of the president of the Board of Trustees; the only nominated candidate – the NA President, President of the University Board was selected for the position.

The NA President expressed acknowledgements for the selection, emphasizing that fruitful activities would be developed in future registering more outstanding results.

To sum up, during the Board session the selection procedure of the Rector of the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan was approved.
