Twenty-six students of Armenian State Pedagogical University taking a Master’s degree distance learning course at the Faculty of Philology received degree certificates on March 13.
Ashot Galstyan, Dean of the Faculty of Philology, and heads of the Chairs congratulated the graduates wishing them success and professional achievements.
Mr. Galstyan called on the graduates to uphold the name of the University and wished them good luck, a green way and a happy life.
“You are our successors and I want you to instill national mentality in your children. Have national pride and transfer it to the next generations,” said Aelita Dolukhanyan, Head of the Chair of Old and Medieval Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods, a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia.
The professor recommended the graduates to continue to enrich their knowledge obtained at the University.
Professor Vazgen Hambardzumyan, Head of the Chair of Armenian Language and its Teaching Methods, cited the words of Armenian writer Hrant Matevosyan who said in his time, “Even if you do not become teachers, you will at least teach Armenian language and Literature to your children.”
"The profession you have chosen is the best of its kind. You should be able to carry out the mission of instilling literary and cultural heritage in your families,” said Professor Suren Danileyan, Head of the Chair of New and Modern Armenian Literature and its Teaching Methods.
