On June 28, degree certificates were handed out at the Faculty of Culture. This year, 176 students are graduating from the Faculty: 89 BA and 16 MA students as well as 71 students taking distance learning courses at the Faculty, with 39 of them graduating with honors.
Dean of the Faculty Gevorg Tadevosyan, Vice-Dean Artashes Martirosyan, heads of the Chairs congratulated the graduates (in nine specialties) and wished them success in the professional field and loyalty to their calling.
Silva Melkonyan is one of this year's undergraduate graduates. She has successfully completed the course in Dance Education and decided to continue with her master's studies.
She has been engaged in professional dance for ten years now. She received professional education at ASPU and even managed to open a dance studio.
Professional knowledge, work with leading specialists of the field and extensive experience… These are the few achievements that Silva Melkonyan mentioned while talking about the successful course of the study.
Lilit Grigoryan, another graduate of ASPU, has studied journalism. From the very beginning of his student life, she worked by profession; wrote articles and prepared programs for the university radio. Later, she found a job with one of the leading websites.
In a conversation with old.aspu.am, Lilit said she had applied the theoretical knowledge she received at ASPU in practice: "Our class was special as the years of study coincided with the epidemic (Covid-19). Due to the pandemic we had to study online for almost a whole year. However, the compassion and dedication of our lecturers filled that gap. With the same care they were with us until the end of the course.
Lilit Grigoryan advises first-year students of the Journalism Department not to do only the assignments of professors, to work constantly, to ask questions and get the most, at the same time accumulating practical experience too.
