KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Members of the ASPU academic and administrative staff will hereinafter enjoy health insurance coverage offered by Rosgosstrakh-Armenia Insurance CJSC. The agreement is effective for one year.

Today, the ASPU hosted Armine Badalyan, a representative of Rosgosstrakh-Armenia Insurance CJSC, who presented the insurance services covered by the company, including urgent medical care, critical illness, exacerbation of chronic diseases, need for surgical intervention, etc. Presenting the medical expenses which are reimbursed by the insurance company under the agreement, the representative of Rosgosstrakh-Armenia also presented the main principles and reimbursement policies.

Armine Badalyan also spoke about cases when the company covers costs of outpatient and inpatient treatment. She stressed that Rosgosstrakh-Armenia makes an exception for the Pedagogical University and sets no age limits for ASPU staff members.

She also referred to the procedure of preventive medical examination at the medical institution chosen by the insurance company, which includes counseling from a therapist, an eye test, abdominal, thyroid and pelvic ultrasounds and an electrocardiogram (EKG or ECG). The check-ups also include gynecological consultations for women and urology consultations for men, common blood count, breast ultrasound and mammogram on doctor’s recommendation.

Singling out specific exceptions envisaged in the agreement, Armine Badalyan also spoke about insurance policies for immediate family members and answered all questions ranging from submission of documents to health insurance coverage.
