KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

A benefit concert for International Women’s Day was held at the Faculty of Culture of Armenian State Pedagogical University. Representatives of Yerevan State College of Variety and Jazz, studio of the State Song Theatre of Armenia, “Khentutyun” (Folly) Ensemble, participants of New Wave song contest and TV projects performed at the event.

The concert was organized by Artur Gasparyan, a second-year student of the University specializing in the field of Broadcast Journalism. Artistic Director was Natalie Karamyan, a lecturer at Yerevan State College of Culture, and presenters were Angela Shahumyan and Gurgen Alekyan, both students of the Pedagogical University.

Also, songs of different genres dedicated to women were performed during the concert.

“I think the concert served its purpose: it was filled with warmth. And the words of gratitude expressed after the concert, especially by the mothers of soldiers, were the most important appreciation for me,” Artur Gasparyan said in conversation with old.aspu.am.
