At the invitation of QSI International School of Yerevan (QSI Yerevan), ASPU’s Chair of First Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection in cooperation with the National Center for Addictions Treatment under the RA Ministry of Health organized a seminar for middle and high school students within the framework of the "Healthy Lifestyle" program.
During the meeting with students, Anna Margaryan, Associate Professor at the Chair of First Aid, Emergency Situations and Civil Protection, Harutyun Simonyan, Head of Dispensary Service at the National Center for Addictions Treatment, and Anna Tsarukyan, Doctor of the 2nd Inpatient Department, an addiction specialist at the National Center for Addictions Treatment, presented challenges of healthy nutrition and lifestyle.
Candidate of Medicine Anna Margaryan spoke about the impact of obesity, excess weight, abuse of energy drinks and their negative consequences on teens.
The specialists of the National Center for Addictions Treatment informed teenagers about the harmful effects of drugs and psychoactive substances.
The speeches were followed by a Q&A session, with the specialists answering students’ questions.
On behalf of the leadership of QSI Yerevan, Dustrik Gasparyan, a nurse at QSI Yerevan, thanked the representatives of the structures for the joint seminar.
