The annual award ceremony “Best Student” was held at ASPU on December 27.
Knarik Hambardzumyan, a student of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, was named the winner of this year’s competition organized by the ASPU Student Council.
Ten best students from the ten faculties of the university will spend their holidays in Georgia, while the best student of the university will leave for Austria to study there.
Acting Rector of ASPU, Psy.D., Professor Srbuhi Gevorgyan congratulated the best students of the university stating that the best pedagogical traditions are preserved and continued.
"Dear students, the Pedagogical University proved long ago that students are the greatest value. You are the creators of new education standards, criteria and requirements for professional skills of future teachers. ASPU will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary. In this context, I want you to continue fulfilling the mission of the university by combining your professional and personal qualities, for the sake of the Republic of Armenia and new teachers,” Srbuhi Gevorgyan said.
She says the annual ceremony “Best Student” is the best event ever. It allows summarizing the results that are presented as the best in accordance with education, science, research, social and other criteria. The acting rector congratulated the students once again and thanked them for their efforts and for moving forward with a new qualitative basis and new ideas with the help of lecturers.
The solemn ceremony was followed by a concert, with Armenian singers Sofi Mkheyan and Arsen Grigoryan (Mro) and students of the ASPU Department of Dance congratulating the best students with their songs and performances.
Let us add that Gor Meliksetyan was named the best student of the Faculty of Art Education, Inessa Brutyan – Faculty of Special and Inclusive Education, Anahit Panosyan – Faculty of Primary Education, Zhenya Abgaryan – Faculty of Culture, Ara Harutyunyan – Faculty of History and Social Sciences, Knarik Hambardzumyan – Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography, Anna Kostanyan – Faculty of Philology, Stella Galstyan – Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics, and Tamara Arshakyan – Faculty of Foreign Languages, respectively.
