The teaching staff of ASPU Primary School N57 also gave a warm welcome to pupils on September 1. The school opened its doors to numerous pupils, promising to reveal undiscovered planets of science during new and exciting meetings.
The day was unforgettable especially for about 104 first-formers, who set foot on this amazing planet for the first time. School Principal Naira Toghanyan congratulated everyone on the occasion of Knowledge Day. “Traditionally, the school opens its doors to pupils every September, but there is one important fact: new pupils join our ranks annually. I assure you that new discoveries and achievements await you under this floor,” she said in her opening remarks.
Naira Toghanyan then conveyed the messages of the ASPU administration and Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan. “The main guarantee of our country's development is to ensure [equitable] quality education and the efforts exerted in this sphere are the guarantee of our dignified life of tomorrow. So, I believe that the future years of study will become for our pupils an important and responsible period of development of abilities and talents, a period of gaining knowledge and skills and, as a result, our country will have more patriotic, educated and responsible citizens,” she read out Taron Margaryan’s address.
The new-comers were welcomed by their seniors and heroes of fairy tales who handed the key to knowledge to first-formers. Accompanied by the symbolic ringing of the first bell, they walked to their classroom with their teacher to open the doors of the castle of knowledge.
At the end of the solemn ceremony, the pupils released balloons with their dreams into the sky, wishing peace to our Homeland.
