Hereinafter, the Geography Scientific Research Laboratory at the Pedagogical University’s Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography will be named after the famous geographer, Doctor of Geography, Professor, the USSR Associate Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences Lemvel Valesyan.
The Laboratory equipped with modern technologies and equipment that was opened at the University a few months ago will also serve as an auditorium, where the pedagogues will practically strengthen their theoretic knowledge.

He is one of the scientists that left the brightest mark in the sphere of geography, and one of the most important results of his activities-the atlas cartography and topographic geography, were the scientific directions which the Armenian society had had the lack of for a long time.
Once again the professor highlighted that renaming the Laboratory was a rewarding work both from pedagogical and educative perspectives, and which reminds young generations to remember the merited figures, to praise them, and to continue their worthy work.
