The Lecturer of the Pedagogical University’s Faculty of Art Education, Candidate of Art Ashot Arackelyan had a three-day lecturing trip to the Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences within the framework of the Erasmus + teaching mobility programme.
Lectures about the European arts of 19-20th centuries were presented in English language in a Q&A format, thus creating a great interest among the Lithuanian students. In fact the selected topics had been little studied and were a novelty.
In his interview to the old.aspu.am the Lecturer of the Chair of History, Theory of Art and Culturology emphasized the importance of his participation in the programme and the strong need of exchange of experience.
Moreover, Ashot Arackelyan considered as one of the significant achievements of the Lithuanian educational system the active application of information technologies in the learning process, as well as the language skills and student-professor direct communication.
“Students like to study, they are motivated, frank and open in their communication which helps them to more easily perceive the delivered material.
To conclude, the ASPU lecturer added that due to the fact of having musical education, he had been able to organise a discussion –session about the World opera of 20th century.
