KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Within the framework of an international conference, the Chair of Mathematics and its Teaching Methods welcomed the member of the conference committee, Professor of the Cherkasy National University after Bogdan Khmelnitsky (Ukraine), Doctor of Pedagogy Yevgeny Lodatko.

Among those present at the seminar- lecture were the teaching staff of the Chair, lecturers of the Chair of Mathematics and Elementary Education Methods, students and postgraduates.

Professor Lodatko introduced peculiarities of education modernization in Ukraine, drew parallels between educational programmes, learning perspectives, and state approaches to education in Armenia and Ukraine.

Likewise, during the meeting a joint decision was made to establish further closer cooperation, to prepare projects in the field of mathematics, develop academic and methodological activitiesand other areas.

According to the participants of the seminar the meeting was important to get familiarized with the Ukrainian educational system, particularly with the methods of teaching mathematics and to exchange experience.

To conclude, an agreement was made by the Chairs of both Universities to jointly organize a conference on mathematical education in Cherkasy next year.
