Lectures from an International Special Pedagogue

The Pedagogical University welcomed the Special Education expert of the Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, Ms. Laura David, within the scope of academic mobility of the Erasmus+ project.

During a one-week session for the lecturers and students of the Faculty of Special Education, the foreign invited specialist presents topics in this field, with particular reference to early childhood autism, disorders in emotional and motor systems, etc.

Ms. Laura David’s lectures are based on specific examples with the help of which more accurate discussions are made in regards with various issues, their approaches and prevention methods.

In her interview to the old.aspu.am, the Head of the Chair of Special Pedagogy and Psychology Ms. Teresa Azatyan mentioned that during the lectures Ms. Laura David was analyzing the given issues, as well as reviewing specific Armenian examples.

“In both countries special education issues are almost the same; the movement of students with special mobility needs are particularly problematic in higher educational institutions”, mentioned Ms. Teresa Azatyan, adding that each lecture is followed by active professional discussions with lecturers and future students.
