The collection of material of the international conference “Current Problems and Perspectives of Armenian Lexicography” has been published; it comprises the reports prepared by the RA Language Inspection and the ASPU Linguistic Research Scientific Laboratory for the conference with the same name, which was organised jointly in the current year.

The publication comprises various issues of Armenian lexicography, specifically about the 18th century comprehensive multilingual hand-written dictionaries, electronic lexicography, scientific and technical terms lexicography issues, linguistic-cultural and terminological interpretations of Indo-European *u/wel words, and about the inconsistency of language names and the differences between their registration in dictionaries.

In addition, the collection of conference material includes the requirements for the educational dictionary of linguistic terms, the issues of the originality of Armenian medical terms, lexical elaborations of the semantic subset of "human, person", the principles of compiling the dialect dictionary of Artsakh's independence period and of the Kapan region, the problems of modern lexicography of Grabar [Old Armenian], the changes of the Armenian vocabulary in the 16th-18th centuries, etc.

The international conference organised by the Linguistic Research Scientific Laboratory on “Contemporary Issues and Perspectives of the Armenian Lexicography” is the second one and it is going to be of continuous nature.

The editorial board of the book consists of the Board Chair, Doctor of Psychology Srbouhi Gevorgyan, the Editor-in-Chief, Doctor of Philology, Lalik Khachatryan, Doctor of Psychology Kamo Vardanyan, Doctor of Philology Vagharshak Madoyan, as well as Candidates of Philology Davit Gyurjinyan, Karine Abrahamyan, Lucine Margaryan, and the secretary in charge Mariam Melkonyan.
