An event entitled "Managers during one-hundred-year history" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of ASPU was held on the initiative of the ASPU Chair of Economics and Management.
“Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of management who are armed with theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and managers for the sphere of culture who have the skills and qualities of economists and businessmen, i.e. skills in entrepreneurial, economic and financial activities…" Students taking full-time and distance learning courses in Management (in the culture sphere) and alumni of the same department presented their profession in this way emphasizing the wide opportunities provided by the educational programme.
They underscored the importance of scientific works carried out jointly with experienced specialists of the Chair, as well as provision of a research component in the final works based on studies during professional practices.
The students say ASPU is the institution that has united them all: thanks to the university they have many achievements and have overcome the difficulties together.
The future managers presented the history of the university, the activity of the Faculty of Culture, their daily routine full of interesting episodes and chaotic situations and considered participation in the "Training" course organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports one of their greatest achievements.
Later on, the bands led by ASPU graduates Georgy Israelyan and Makich Nazlukhanyan performed during the event.
Marianna Harutyunyan, ASPU Vice-Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation, stressed the importance of the "Management"(in Culture) discipline in the ASPU life and expressed hope that students and graduates of the department, will contribute to the development of culture in Armenia already as qualified managers.
Rita Sargsyan, Head of the Chair of Economics and Management, added that the event provided an opportunity to present cooperation and achievements with various structures, the educational programme, the main directions of activity, as well as students' creative and management skills.
