The Faculty of Special Education hosted Oleg Kolpashchikov, Founder of “White Cane” NGO and “Sails of the Soul” project, and Constantin Baranovic, a psychiatrist and Founding Director of the Institute of Design Management and Competitive Strategy, who gave master classes to ASPU students.
The meeting with the fourth year students of the Faculty and members of the academic staff was organized in the context of inclusive cooperation.
The guests presented the projects initiated in various countries by the structures that they head which focus on the idea of inclusion. The guests presented in detail their ideas, the difficulties they had encountered and the outcome.
With the help of role-playing games, the students acted as individuals with special needs, shared their feelings and emotions with the participants.
The attendees stressed that the interactive lecture enabled each participant to express his/her opinion and listen to different, sometimes contradictory thoughts, which is a reason for contemplations for future specialists in the field of special education.
