The Student Scientific Society of the Faculty of History and Law organized a matinée dedicated to the heroes of the four-day war around Karabakh in April 2016.
During the event entitled “Heroes of our days: We are sorry and proud of our heroes,” the future historians presented the chronology of the 4-day bloody hostilities, casualties and destruction of military equipment on both sides. The students also cited evidence provided by eye-witnesses and showed a film about modern-day heroes.
“Our older generation proved that Armenia must be independent while the generation of independence showed its ability to solve problems and assured the enemy that the protection of our Homeland and its borders is not only left on our military,” said Edgar Hovhannisyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law. He encouraged the students to provide a strong backing for the army.
The Dean added that with such initiatives the future historians and educators assure everyone that ‘we rely on our homeland and our army.’
