As part of the Erasmus+ PROVE (“Promoting Values Education in South Caucasus Higher Education Institutions”) project, the Work Group 2 held its next meeting on July 25. A course entitled "Values- and Knowledge-Based Education for Peace and Cooperation" will be developed within the framework of the project.
Marianna Harutyunyan, Vice-Rector for HR Management and International Cooperation at Armenian State Pedagogical University, is an expert in the Work Group.
During the previous meetings, the participants discussed and clarified the key content areas of the course. Also, each partner university was assigned to work on a specific topic. On July 25, the participants presented the work done and discussed the further steps.
By August 20, 2025, each university is to submit the course description, academic workload, and the faculties involved in the process.
The three-year project (PROVE) aims to integrate values education into higher education systems in the South Caucasus region, fostering inclusive, ethical, and responsible societies. The coordinator is Telavi State University, Georgia. The Armenian partners are Armenian State Pedagogical University and Yerevan State University. European partners are Salzburg Association for Values and Knowledge Education (Austria), Private University of Education, Diocese of Linz (Austria), and the University of Western Macedonia (Greece). Other project partners are Ilia State University, Tbilisi, and Caucasus University (Georgia).
