KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

Within the framework of cooperation between the Pedagogical University and Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, the lecturer of preschool Pedagogy Yelena Papovskaya visited the ASPU.

During the three-day visit, the Belarussian guest participated in various initiatives of exchange of experience with aiming to train and be trained at the Faculty of Primary Education and at kindergartens.

During the meeting with the lecturers and students of the Chair of Preschool Pedagogy and Methodology Yelena Papovskaya introduced the practice and effectiveness of straw crafts in preschool education in their country.

The latter presented to the Armenian colleagues the curriculum and methodological programme that she had developed, applied a few practical methods demonstrating the straw craft skills starting from the process of drying up to creating things.

“Straw Crafts is a popular culture and is included in preschool education”, mentioned Yelena Papovskaya and assured that straw crafts contributed to development of fine motor skills, imagination and other abilities.
