KHACHATUR ABOVYAN ARMENIAN STATE PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITY

From 1 to 14 July, the “Museum-School Cooperation” training programme for teachers, approved by the RA Ministry of ESCS, was held at the Pedagogical University.

The aim of the “Museum-School Cooperation” project was to activate and increase pupils’ visits to museums together with their teachers, within the framework of collaboration of museums and teachers.

During the project, Directors and staff members from a number of major museums of Yerevan shared with around 17 teachers from various schools of Yerevan with information dedicated for the wide-ranging programmes for pupils. Within the scope of the programme, the teachers visited several museums in Yerevan to get familiarized with the educational programmes on the spot.

As a result of the training programme and cooperation with the museums the teachers will compile educational programmes for pupils.
