Spiritual Conversation with Father Komitas Archimandrite
09.11.2012
Christian and universal values, pre-Christian Armenia and Armenians after adopting Christianity; today, Pedagogical students had an opportunity to receive answers to these

questions from the Director-supervisor Archimandrite Komitas Hovnanyan of the Armenian Church Youth Centers (Hayortyats Tner) of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The latter visited the University under the initiative of the Student Scientific Council.

The Lord’s Prayers opened the meeting, which was followed by the Spiritual Father explaining the meaning of belief to the young generation.

Besides, referring to a number of vulnerable subjects and the recent dissemination of various sects in particular, Father Komitas Archimandrite quoted famous words from the Bible; “"Watch out for false prophets.

They come to you in sheep's clothing claiming to be the Christ, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves”. Moreover, he added that the aim of the sects was not the universal protection of mankind at all, but the split of a nation.

In addition, speaking about the value system of the young, the Spiritual Father mentioned with pity that a dense part of them is pinched by valuelessness, and what we consider as western value and accept with open arms today, is actually the European waste that has never defined the level of intelligence of Europeans.

To sum up, by the end of the spiritual conversation students expressed desire to make this kind of meetings a good tradition and confessed that they contribute to becoming young people with realistic and truthful value system.
