The Faculty of Special Education of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU) today welcomed the 113 distance learning students of the University with the anthems of the ASPU

and RA. November 12 was the first day of learning for these students.
In the Great Conference Hall, the students were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Special Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Associate Professor, Armenuhi Avagyan, Deputy Deans Marine Marutyun and Tereza Azatyan, Heads of Chairs Janna Paylozyan and Robert Azaryan and a group of lecturers.
Congratulating the students, Armenuhi Avagyan stressed that their ‘access’ to the University coincided with the 90th anniversary of the ASPU.
“I can assure you that you have chosen a modern and perspective profession. Armenia has already switched to the system of inclusive education, which means that special pedagogues will be of high demand in the years to come,” said the dean.

On behalf of the entire teaching staff, Armenuhi Avagyan assured the presentees that they would do their utmost for special pedagogues studying in the distance learning system to be competent in teaching children with special educational needs.
Spartak Palikyan, Candidate of Biological Sciences and Associate Professor, was the next to welcome the students.
He congratulated them for entering one of the leading universities in the republic and stressed students’ appetency for self-education and self-improvement.
After watching a film about the ASPU, the students toured the university building and got acquainted with its administrative structure and library.
