The Pedagogical University has been numerously involved in a variety of initiatives that aim at strengthening the army-society relations.
Within the framework of those events the students of the Faculty of History and Law, mainly the girls, passed shooting trainings at the shooting range of the Fifth Army Corps of the RA MD.
“It is very much welcomed that the youth who has already chosen the scientific direction, express willingness to participate in the project.
Most exciting is the participation of girls as it is very much typical for Armenian women to be close to their husbands in times of war for the protection of their homelands,” mentions Major Mheryan who is the Deputy of the Commander of Battalion on personnel affairs.
Afterwards, the latter expresses his delight regarding the high level of preparedness, demonstrated skills of the students who volunteer to teach soldiers and grants them diplomas for “Strengthening Army-Society Relations and Active Social Involvement”.
In his turn, Major Mheryan awards a diploma, under the name of the Commander of the RA MD Fifth Army Corps, for “Undertaking Events to Strengthen the Army-Society Relations” to the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law Edick Gevorgyan.
The latter, too, expresses gratefulness to the Commanders of the above mentioned Army Corps for close cooperation and proper organization of classes.
He assures that other events will also be arranged for strengthening the Army-Society relations, clearly realizing the fact that the protection of our homeland is everybody’s task.
