On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of Armenian State Pedagogical University (ASPU), ASPU Rector, Doctor of Historical Sciences and Professor Rouben Mirzakhanyan awarded
about 300 representatives of the University, who have worked in the institution for 25 years and more, with medals symbolizing the 90th anniversary of the University.
Congratulating the teaching and administrative staff, the ASPU Rector said, “All activities are assessed in due time. I attribute the success of the University to its employees of previous years.
Each of us has done his utmost for our country and nation to have decent and dignified teachers and citizens, who are the future of Armenia. I want our students to acquire the necessary knowledge, to be satisfied with their education and consider the years of learning the best moments in their lives.”
The day was also symbolic for Asya Grigoryan, who devoted nearly a quarter century of her life to pedagogy.
The educator, who was invited to work in the University in 1967 and has educated numerous generations since then, recalls these years with great pride.
“Lecturers of Armenian State Pedagogical University that was named after the great Armenian enlighter Khachatur Abovyan have been sharing their knowledge with the University students for years.
Many of them have been granted scientific titles and ranks and have had a great contribution to the country’s education sector, specifically pedagogy,” said Asya Grigoryan.
