The brand- new Pedagogical museum flashed back into the 405 year enriched with the time’s specific events.
The idea to present the creation of the Armenian writing and the new period of the history of Armenian nation aimed at cognitive development of the children with special needs.
On the International Day of People with Disabilities the newly established museum of the Pedagogical University welcomed pupils from school number 12. The pupils were totally amazed and surprised; they were “greeted” by the Great Illuminator Khachatur Abovyan himself, who addressed his greetings together with very meaningful ideas on education and science.
The youngest visitor of the museum, the 11 years old Mher Hovhannisyan made a tour at the museum, recalled all that he learned during the lessons, told everybody about Mesrop Mashtots and Khachatur Abovyan. Besides, hearing the familiar song which was played at the museum, he started singing along with Komitas; later on he promised that he would definitely be back.
Lilit Asatryan, the teacher of Armenian Language and Literature of the special school number 12, is herself not less impressed than the pupils. She is sure that the visit to this museum will by all means give its fruits. In addition, referring to the day’s sacrament, she urged not to ever feel sorry for children with special needs, vice versa – she recommended focusing more attention on their advantages, on the full and equal rights protection and involvement of people with disabilities into the social life.
At the end of the visit, the quests presented the newly established museum with a hand-made picture of Mountain Ararat.
