The Laboratory of Zoology of the Pedagogical University today hosted students of the Basic (High school) College of the University.

The 10th-12th grade students of the natural and physico-mathematical sciences, humanitarian, cultural streams visited the Pedagogical University at the initiative of Svetlana Hovakimyan, Dean of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography.
The students first watched a film about the University and then got familiarized with the laboratory, its activity, didactic materials and the technology of their processing.
Speaking about the “animal kingdom,” Maro Kocharyan, lecturer of the Chair of Biology and its Teaching Methods, Candidate of Biological Sciences, presented in detail the feeding process of amoebae studied with an electron microscope.
Together with Master's degree students, the college students dissected crayfish, at the same time explaining the internal structure of the animal.

During the meeting, the students actively participated in the discussions, addressed questions to the lecturers and the faculty students and received exhaustive answers.
Seda Vardanyan, the teacher of the University’s Basic College, is a graduate of the Pedagogical University. She is glad and proud to visit the University again but already as a teacher. She promises to do her best to make her students’ visits to the University, which has extensive experience in the field of education, ongoing.
11th grade student Vigen Mkrtchyan is eager to become a doctor. The future doctor, who participated in the dissection of crayfish for the first time, says it was really a unique and professional experience.
At the end of the visit, the college students walked through the newly-opened museum of the Pedagogical University and got acquainted with the history of the higher educational institution.
