The Pedagogical University today focused on the ongoing reforms in the system of the Armenian Police, juvenile delinquency, relations between the police and public and

measures to strengthen the ties, as well as the problems encountered in the sphere.
Police Colonel Nelly Duryan, Deputy Head of the 3rd Division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Armenian Police, personally answered the controversial questions raised by the future historians and lawyers.
At the beginning of the meeting, the police official emphasized the cooperation with the Pedagogical University and said that many university graduates are working in the police system today.
Stressing the importance of increasing public confidence in the police system, Nelly Duryan said, “Both the profession of a pedagogue and that of a policeman require total dedication.

The role and importance of a policeman is great. It is important that each of us realize it and understand that the development of the society depends on the system.”
The police colonel also called on everyone to be tolerant towards each other and get rid of the frenzy of indifference.
Later on, the presentees started an interesting conversation with Nelly Duryan, which was accompanied by sincere and straightforward question and answer session. Also, the students and lecturers came up with proposals.
“I am extremely impressed by the meeting. I think that the dialogue was a success: all questions were well-formed and ingenious. They forced everyone to ponder. I am leaving the Pedagogical in high spirits taking with me new and bright thoughts and idea,” Nelly Duryan told armspu.am.
In conclusion, Edik Gevorgyan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Jurisprudence, proposed Nelly Duryan to participate in the final qualifying examinations of Master's degree students, assuring the police colonel that among the students she would find good specialists to work in the police system.
