Every year, the Pedagogical University arranges the “Best Student” annual awards. The aim of the awards with corresponding regulations is to discover and encourage the

academic, scientific, public activity of the best and the brightest BA and MA students of.
This year, a surprise was prepared for the best ten students from the ten Faculties of the University; they received motivating gifts from the University Chancellor Rouben Mirzakhanyan.
The students’ excitement was immense; in addition to the medals symbolizing the 90th anniversary of the University, the album describing the history and the chronology of the University, they received the ultramodern tablets of the latest generation and as the “Best Student of the University” Sona Toumanyan received a notebook.

“In the previous years, the encouragement of the best students of our university had another nature; the students were going abroad to study or on a holiday. But today, the best award that may be granted to you is declaring you,” Rouben Mirzakhanyan said.
In fact, it was difficult for the latter to state for who that title was more binding, either for students who must re-establish their title with their everyday work, or for the University itself, which is liable for the further establishment of students.
Besides, during the warm and cordial conversation each of the students represented themselves and spoke about their achievements and further tasks.
Most of the Students sincerely mentioned that they were going to continue their education either in their native University

or at the best universities abroad.
The best student of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography Hovhannes Aristakesyan, who studies tuition free, combines his education with employment. He is quite satisfied with the education the University gives to him, but he imagines his further professional growth in London willing to specialize in molecular biology and genetics. However, he promises to stand the temptation and to return to his homeland.
What is more, this year, the best student of the University is from the Faculty of Foreign Languages. For Sona Torosyan bearing the title of the Best is rather binding; however, she promises to bear it worthily.
And last but not least, we would also like to mention that the candidates for the “Best Student” awards are nominated by the Faculties; each Faculty Student Council selects the best student of the Faculty and presents them to the “Best Student of the University” awards.
