Today, the Faculty of History and Law hosted the wrap up event of the two-day conference headed “Problems of the Armenian Education on Different Stages of Development”.

The conference was arranged by the Student Scientific Society on the 90th anniversary of the Pedagogical University.
The students made different reports referring to a diversity of problems in the Armenian educational system on different stages of development starting with the establishment of the Armenian schools until our days.
The third and fourth year students of the Faculty of History and Law spoke about the Armenian Mekhitaryan School in Venice, the Lazaryan Seminary in Moscow, the Gladzor and the Medieval Armenian universities, the female education issues in works of the 19th century Armenian pedagogues.
In addition, in separate reports the students presented the taught subjects, the role of education and the teaching methods in medieval Armenia, as well as the educational system in the First Republic of Armenia, the current educational legal relations, the Educational Code, and the structural problems.

Moreover, the Dean of the Faculty of History and Law, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Edick Gevorgyan highlights the importance of such conferences underlining the fact that they motivate students for individual research activities.
Likewise, the Dean also emphasizes that the conference discussing the Armenian educational problems will not only contribute to the correct organization of students’ scientific and educational activities, but will also stimulate the development of Armenian studies.
Edick Gevorgyan expressed his gratitude to the students, to their academic supervisors and to the Faculty Student Scientific Society, in particular, for the organization of the conference.
