The performance made on the season’s holidays and the New Year presents were a real surprise for the children with mental disabilities.
“Today, the daily care and the social problems of the children with disabilities are mainly under the responsibility of families and special state institutions, which is obviously not enough to fully maintain their activities and to integrate into the society. They do not have a special environment to maintain their daily activities which would keep them from antisocial actions,” the student from the Faculty of History and Law Irina Margaryan mentioned.
In addition, the latter also emphasized the importance of the availability of a corresponding environment, in case of the absence of which they find themselves at orphanages or special institutions.
Let’s also remind that the “Prkutyun” NGO is the only Center in Yerevan that arranges day care and daily life where around 60 children from various communities visit.
