The Pedagogical University regularly organizes international conferences and symposia on various issues.
The University’s Department of International Cooperation today held a working meeting to discuss the organization of three international conferences planned for 2013.
Head of the Department Christina Tsaturyan presented the organizing committees of faculties [dealing with preparation and arrangement of conferences] the key provisions which should be taken into account during the organization of conferences.
Special emphasis was laid on the goals and objectives of the conference, as well as on the proper organization of the process, which, in its turn, implies proper planning, implementation and evaluation.
Considering the experience and results of previous years, Christina Tsaturyan focused on advanced planning and scheduling of the event and a detailed sequence of actions.
Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Ara Yeremyan, emphasized the need to follow the formats and standards of organizing international conferences, especially their content, in order to achieve the desired results.
Dean of the Faculty of Special Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Armenouhi Avagyan, who has participated in numerous international conferences, highlighted the working consultation as a guideline for organizing high-quality conferences.
Dean of the Faculty of Primary Education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Heghine Khachatryan said, “Many issues seemed to be mere trifles to this day. But today I understood that these very trifle things significantly affect the quality of conferences, determining their effectiveness.”
Meetings and consultations focusing on conference-related arrangements will be continuous.
