Students of the Faculty of Philology studying in the distance learning system today came up with a charitable initiative.

They donated the money raised through voluntary contributions to eleven-year-old Lilit, a resident of Sipanik village in Masis region, who is suffering from a rare disease called Mukoviszidose.
Accompanied by her mother, Lilit today visited the Pedagogical University to meet the Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philological Sciences Yuri Davtyan, and the students of the Faculty and to thank them for the care and assistance.
Mr Davtyan, in his turn, expressed his delight with students’ attention and care, underscoring its importance in the pedagogue’s profession. “A teacher should, first of all, love children,” he stressed.
Talking to Lilit, Yuri Davtyan advised her to love knowledge and the process of learning. Also he urged the girl’s mother to believe in God as only God can help Lilit.
Mary Ginosyan, a first-year student of the Faculty, learnt about Lilit’s disease from the program “Sur Ankyun” (Sharp Angle) broadcast on Armenia TV. Mary decided to donate the symbolic money [AMD 45 000] she had collected to the girl’s family to somehow relieve the enormous burden of the illness.
Charity undertakings that have developed into a good tradition will continue at the Faculty.
