Research Support Program 2012” competition.
A representative of the Pedagogical University, postgraduate student at the Chair of Theory and History of Pedagogy, Levon Nazaryan, was among the winners.
The latter presented a report on the theme “Pedagogical Conditions for Building Educational Research Capacities of Students Studying at Natural and Mathematical Sciences Stream of High School” (Supervisor: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Laura Asatryan).
During the scientific study special attention was paid to the modernity of the topic, scientific and technological innovation, prerequisites for implementation of the scientific topic, phases and timeframes, validity of the required funds and other vital issues arising from the peculiarities of the given field of science. The preliminary ratings of the research topics were drawn up based on the aforesaid criteria.
The certificates were given by Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan, who at the present stage of educational reforms especially highlighted the significance and relevance of the theme studied by Levon Nazaryan.
“The 21st century is a period of fundamental changes related to the fields of information, communication and profession. Given the present conditions of market economy, the demand for qualified specialists has increased forcing relevant authorities to amend educational methods, requirements, target priorities and pedagogical conditions,” said Levon Nazaryan.
He added that the role of high schools has considerably increased nowadays as an important and necessary link of preliminary specialization. Today schools shape and develop the cognitive, as well as research capacity of students.
