It’s been several years that 19 February is marked as the day of gifting books. On this occasion the Pedagogical University did not stay aside as well. Under the Trade Union’s
initiative book collecting events were arranged in the lobbies of the two University campuses.
Among those participating at the event were the University employees who presented to the RA district schools and military unit at least one book each.
“As one of the leading universities preparing teachers, the Pedagogical University is more than obliged to strengthen the connection with books,” mentioned the Chairman of the Trade Union, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Hasmik Sargsyan and further added, “We we’ll do all that is possible to have such initiatives on the continuous basis and it make them exemplary for the students.”
The President of the Trade Bureau of the Faculty of History and Law Iskouhi Lapayan is participating in this undertaking with great pleasure and excitement and presents the volumes of Hovhannes Toumanyan’s works. In addition, she also thinks that the collected books will have their honorary place on the bookshelves and desks of the readers at schools and military units. This is particularly educative for those who give their preference to the internet more.
What is more, the teachers of the ASPU (high school) college also demonstrated active participation in this book collecting event. Moreover, the President of the Trade Union of the college Sona Ghukasyan mentions that the whole teaching staff participated in the event with greatest pleasure with the hope that books will be the most desired presents and books donation will be become a beautiful tradition.
