Russian and English versions of the album presenting the history and chronology of the Pedagogical University have come out recently.
The album dedicated to the 90th of the University is illustrated by photos and contains archival materials about the creation of the Armenian alphabet, formation of outstanding schools and monastic universities in Medieval Armenia, foundation of the Pedagogical University, the first years of its activity. It also provides information about the University’s participation in the Great Patriotic War and Artsakh liberation movement.
The album will also familiarize its readers with the prominent graduates of the Pedagogical University.
On the first page of the album you will find the address of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, in connection with the University’s 90th anniversary.
“The aim of the trilingual album is to make the University’s educational legacy the property of generations, present all phases of the University's history- its foundation, stages of development, past, present and future,” said Ara Yeremyan, Vice-Rector for Personnel and International Cooperation, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor.
The Armenian edition of the album compiled by the combined efforts of the University’s professorial staff was published at the turn of 2012.
