Family Reading as Key Component of Educational Process
26.02.2013
Armenian State Pedagogical University continues to closely collaborate with schools arranging practice. The recurrent agreement of cooperation was reached between Anania

Shirakatsi Lycee and Chair of Armenian Language and Elementary Teaching Methods of Primary Education Faculty, ASPU.

Within the framework of an independent reading program, the third graders of the Lycee visited “Edit Print” publishing house where they presented a unique lesson-matinee. The event dated for the Book Holiday concluded with children’s parents dramatizing family reading materials.

“Family reading is an important component of independent reading as family members are also involved in the process. The reading process between a family member and a child leads to the desired results, contributing to the development of learner’s skills and abilities,” said the dean of the chair, Ashot Galstyan.

Let us mention that the textbooks used at junior schools are authored by lecturers of the Chair of Armenian Language and Elementary Teaching Methods.
