Masters Receive Graduate Diplomas

Over 105 Master’s degree students of the Faculties of Special Education and Primary Education majoring in six specialties today received graduate diplomas. Fifty-three graduates

 with excellent academic performance received their diplomas personally by the Rector of the Pedagogical University.
 
Congratulating the masters, Rector Rouben Mirzakhanyan said, “Your graduation theses earned the highest score from the Committee. With every passing year the University undergoes positive changes in an attempt to improve the quality of education. With you work and activity you should prove that this diploma has its real value. I would like you to maintain contact with the University and continue to consult with your lecturers in your future professional activities.”
 
Continuing the wishes, Armenouhi Avagyan, Dean of the Faculty of Special Education, stressed that many of the University graduates had combined work with studies; moreover, during the examinations the Committee members offered some students to work in their specialty fields upon graduation. “Special educators majoring in pedagogy, psychology and medicine have been armed with the maximum professional skills. I am convinced that they will be able to apply their knowledge in practice, upholding the good name of the University,” she said. 
 

Lilit Hakobyan, a graduate of the Faculty of Special Education, who received a Diploma with Honour, says she felt great responsibility during the one and a half years of learning. The future logopaedist was parallelly engaged in research work.
 
 “Many of my course-mates received Diplomas with Honour which speaks to the fact that the Pedagogical University pays special attention to higher education conforming it to international standards.”
 
The ceremony was attended by Marianna Aghajanyan, Chairperson of the Examination Committee of the Faculty of Special Education, Professor of the Chair of Physiology and Sports Medicine at Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture (ASIPC), Vice Rector Mher Melik-Bakhshyan, Head of the Division of Coordination of Academic and Scientific-Methodological Activities, Srbouhi Gevorgyan, Vice Rector for Educational and Scientific Affairs, Doctor in Psychology, Processor, and professors of the faculties.
