Students Celebrate Armenian National Holidays
11.03.2013
A few days ago, the Museology students of the Faculty of Culture organized an event headed “Armenian National Holidays” at the Yerevan History Museum.

The event started with the presentation of a traditional Armenian wedding ceremony, followed by a very extraordinary performance of the “Shrovetide”, its meaning, significance and the fascinating customs.

One of the students, Mariam Ghuaksyan gave a thorough description of the eight Sundays of the Lent, as well as told about the Easter sacrament and its meaning.

The delight of the guests and the museum visitors proved that the whole event and the accomplished work were not only beautiful, also educative.

The museum staff called the students the “Ambassadors of our Museum” and for their excellent work presented them with the volumes of the “Collection of Scientific Articles” of the Yerevan History Museum.
