20.03.2013
Master’s degree students of the Faculty of Biology, Chemistry and Geography recently visited "Unifish" fish farm in Ararat marz (province) for their practical training.

At the head of Samvel Pipoyan, Professor of the Chair of Biology and its Teaching Methods, the students were introduced to a number of species of sturgeon and the process of breeding and feeding of carp (koi) and gold rainbow trout.

The future biologists also visited the trout farms in the neighbourhood of Ranchpar village where they were familiarized with the technology of fish breeding, semi-desert vegetation characteristics of Ararat valley and observed spring migration of birds.

“Masters training program envisages scientific and pedagogical practice, which aims to arm students with teaching skills, as well as prepare them for future research, scientific-pedagogical, scientific-methodological activities.

The research practice will also help students in writing their master's thesis,” Samvel Pipoyan said in conversation with armspu.am.

The aforesaid program includes academic and administrative competencies which will contribute to the strengthening of the theoretical knowledge acquired during the learning process and practical skills.
