Today, the Students Scientific Society organized a conference headed “Episodes from the History of the Armenian Military Forces”. The conference was devoted to the 20th anniversary of the formation of the Armenian Army.
The reported subjects referred to the Army of the first Republic of Armenia, to its formation, to the creation of our days’ moral character of a soldier, to the increase of the role of army in the society.
The opening speech was made by the Head of Chair of Armenian History, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Mher Karapetyan. As he observed, “Such conferences favour the scientific activities and the development of students’ independent work.”
During the conference reports were made by the following students, Julietta Karapetyan, Astghik Nazaryan, Gohar Zaroyan, Rouzanna Ohanyan, Aida Hakobyan, Karine Araqelyan, Norayr Nazaryan, and Irina Margaryan.
The conference is held on two stages; the second stage is planned in mid-March.
